Join one of our Choirs

Valley Performing Arts Center originated as a 35 voice Children’s Choir performing at the Capitol Theatre in Yakima with Alex Boyé. Since then, we’ve added three more choirs to the mix and expanded to over 30 new classes and a brand new facility.

SunKids Jr Choir

SunKids Jr Choir is a preliminary course to the Valley Children’s Choir. We offer fundamental singing and performing skills. Students will participate in learning a variety of songs and dances and have the opportunity to perform both live and on camera!

Valley Children’s Choir

The Valley Children’s Choir is a show choir for kids 8 -10. Kids learn how to sing different vocal parts, learn basic choreography, and experience different vocal styles. The atmosphere is high energy and fast paced. Kids are encouraged to take part in performing opportunities throughout the FALL or SPRING semesters including live performances and the end of the year production.

Spotlight Singers

Spotlight Singers is a new show choir for advanced vocalists ages 11 and up. This is an audition only group for the experienced singer. Request permission from the instructor to add this class. Students must be highly committed to weekly rehearsals, with minimal absences. Students will sing harmonies, learn intermediate choreography, and experience different vocal styles.
